Pricing
You pay for voice time, and nothing else
Nothing unlimited: an hour of dubbing costs something to produce, and an unlimited plan would end up working against you. The allowance is a ceiling, not a target — 6 minutes are often enough to make up your mind.

What counts, and what does not
Where your minutes go
The rule fits in one sentence: it is the voice that uses them up. Almost everything else is free.
| Action | Cost | Why |
|---|---|---|
| The HD voice | per minute spoken | This is the only real item. A minute of your allowance is a minute of synthesised voice — not a minute of video. A video with little speech uses less. |
| Listening to the soundtrack | per minute heard | When the video has no subtitles, it must first be transcribed. That is charged only once, at the same time as the voice — never twice. |
| A summary | half a minute | The transcript is already there, and the summary does not redo it. On the Pro plan it does not count at all; a summary already produced reopens free of charge. |
| Translating the subtitles | free | Your browser can often translate on its own; otherwise it is our server, and it takes no minutes from you. |
| Your browser’s voice | free | Without limit, on every plan. It is what takes over when your minutes run out: the wall becomes a slope. |
| Rewatching a video already dubbed | free | The voice is kept in your browser: playing it again calls no one. |
| Changing language, voice or speed | free | As often as you like, mid-playback. Only the voice actually spoken afterwards counts. |
| Pausing, or going back | free | The voice follows the video’s clock. A paused video uses nothing, and a passage already dubbed is not paid for twice. |
| Exporting the transcript | free | It is text already on your device: the export goes through no one. |
Without subtitles, dubbing goes through the soundtrack: expect 2 to 3 seconds behind in live mode, and around fifteen seconds otherwise.
Questions
About the plans and the minutes
When do my minutes come back?
On the 1st of each month you get your whole allowance back. Whatever you did not use the month before is lost: minutes do not carry over from one month to the next.
And the 6 free minutes?
They are given once only, when the account is created, and do not come back the following month. They are spent after your allowance, so they last.
Can I change plan along the way?
Yes, in either direction, from your account area. The change takes effect immediately.
What happens at zero minutes?
On a subtitled video, your browser’s voice takes over, free and without limit. Listening to the soundtrack, however, requires minutes: it is the only feature with no free fallback, and the extension tells you before you click.
